Everman is located in Tarrant County, Texas. Everman offers its resident’s warm, friendly and courteous, environment. The city has many community celebrations and festivals throughout the year. Everman is a small community, but the residents enjoy the rural setting while still being close to the big city. The city has a land area of 2.7 square miles.
The city has taken many steps toward the future of the city. Many new projects have been completed in recent years like a new library, a new police station, a new animal control center, the Shelby Water Tank, the East Enon Street Bridge, and repair of the High School Water Tower. Also a SCADA System that will monitor the water with more up to date technology.
The city has maintained a Capital Improvement Program that is feasible and has been added into the yearly operating system budget, this will purchase new equipment. Everman still continues to build on the funds it has reserved. The city has also enjoyed a reduction in taxes for the last 3 years.
Around the city you will see the Monk Parrot; it can be seen on top of most electric poles. They been in the area for quit some time now, they are known for their over sized nests that are visible due to their large size.

Everman History
Everman was named after a great man of the Great Northern Railroad, John Everman. In 1904 the first Anglo American community was developed in the area. Soon after this event took place, schools and postal services were established.
At close by Barron Field, a World War I flight training school helped to develop the area and the economy. In the early 1920s the population had reached 150, in the 1950s it was up to 450 and then exploded to 5,000 by the mid 70s when the Dallas Fort Worth Airport was built. The city has begun to stabilize at around 5,900 today.
Education in Everman
The Everman school system is served by the Everman Independent School District. The district is located in the rapidly growing corridor of Dallas/Fort Worth. The district also serves parts of Forest Hill and the south part of Fort Worth. The Everman school district provides an excellent instruction program for all the students in each grade level. The faculty and other staff are committed to providing the best education. The district provides quality programs, along with financial availability that is needed to achieve the best education possible.

Everman offers plenty of recreational opportunities for all its residents. You will find plenty of indoor and outdoor recreation. There are public parks, golf courses, youth facilities, shopping and dining in the city. For more recreational activities and attractions you won’t have to go far. The county of Tarrant has even more to offer.
